While I have never heard of any OEM recommending this, I would bet that dealers exist that con people into it.

Cant say Im well versed in EV's whatsoever.. but quick search said most dealers wont touch it unless theres a problem with the drive unit. Found some other places that recommend replacement every 100,000 miles. I think I would err on the side of caution and switch it on roughly the same interval as an ICE transmission.. 75k-100k miles or so
