This will be my first EV. The 0 to 60 in 3 1/2 sec is a huge selling point for certain. I’m looking forward to feeling that torque! My reservation included the harvester. Since I go off road and up in the mountains and stuff, that’s a huge selling point for me. Can’t wait to see what vehicles they actually come up with that they’re going to be selling.
I'd rather have a Scout that does 0 - 60 in 6 seconds so it doesn't need all the extra (heavier) hardware and cooling to make that much power. 3.5 seconds to 60 MPH is a completely useless and unnecessary capability that just adds cost, complexity, and lowers reliability. No thanks.

Yeah, I just don’t wanna feel guilty buying a Scout knowing the people that built it are not making a livable wage. Scout hasn’t come out with any announcements about any of this. It’s important to me.
Just curious, what's your number? If they make more than "X", I will not feel guilty. By the sounds of it you will still buy but may or may not feel guilty about it.

I don’t know if you know that 4-2.6seconds is a standard in the automotive industry at this point. So most companies already know how to optimize price and weight for that timing from 0-60.

Well, I think in South Carolina 50,000 to 100,000 a year would be considered pretty good income. So that’s where you could start at the $50,000 and then work your way up to that $100,000 . I think high middle class income is considered $250,000 a year that’s a lot of money though. If they’re paying poverty wages, no I will not buy from them absolutely not especially if I’m paying $60,000 just for the base model.

@Efthreeoh Perhaps scout will offer a smaller version. Ford does that with the bronco. They’ve got the full size one that I have that’s just like the old Bronco, but they also came out with the bronco sport that’s a lot smaller. It’s still very capable, but it’s smaller, cheaper to buy and has better gas mileage, so Scout might come out with a compact model for you like that.

It’s already been some what confirmed that a 2door is coming. It was in a presentation.
