I’m wondering since Scout says that they’re going to be a brand and not a model if they’re gonna eventually come out with all different kinds of SUVs like this. I think it’s awesome. I hope they do. Lots of people with a bunch of kids would be very interested in a wagon I’m sure. Are we gonna see a possible revival for the Travelall?
If I was the product manager of Scout I would be saying to the team that we should bring back the Station wagons and wagons.I’m wondering since Scout says that they’re going to be a brand and not a model if they’re gonna eventually come out with all different kinds of SUVs like this. I think it’s awesome. I hope they do. Lots of people with a bunch of kids would be very interested in a wagon I’m sure.
I fully agree with you!!! Sorry, I'm tired of looking at 4 doors.Come on Scout Motors..2 Door! Please...
The FJ Cruiser had small suicide doors which made it a 4-door. They added the extra doors because of the "Chicken Tax" that prevents most Asian nations from selling 2-door pickups and 2-door SUVs. This gave rise to the 4-door SUV popularity. Japanese SUVs in the late 80s shifted from 2-door to 4-door. American OEMs took notice and stopped selling 2-door Blazers and made a lot of money on 4-door. However, sales continued a bit longer on 2-door Wranglers and Broncos (despite the long break in making Broncos). The Scout being a so-called heritage brand needs to build a 2-doors as people only remembered them as 2-doors.While I think a 2-door with a removable top would be awesome, what does the market say?
I'm genuinely curious, do the 2-door Broncos and Wranglers sell well or do Ford and Jeep just keep them around because of the history and they don't want to lose their faithful customers?
I see many more 4-door in both models than I do 2-door models out on the road.
I'd like a smaller Traveler with a fully removable top/doors. If it's 4 doors, great...if it's 2 doors, I'm not sure I would buy in because of my family and usage. What if it was made to look like a 2-door with suicide rear doors?
It would be best perhaps to show the "2-door" in the next 6 months with a statement saying this will come out "after" 4-door.As much as I can agree with that a 2 door should be released already. The issue is that Scout probably have looked at Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler 2 door sales numbers and probably noticed that 4doors sell more. Being that its a “new” Company you normally want to work with the market that is strongest which happens to be 4 doors.
Everytime i have asked questions to Jamie at Scout he has told me that the next 12-18 months before anything new with a few things here and there. It would be best perhaps to show the "2-door" in the next 6 months with a statement saying this will come out "after" 4-door.
I would like to see a 3 row travelall based on the terra platform. Are we gonna see a possible revival for the Travelall?
I had to look up what that is.Are we gonna see a possible revival for the Travelall?
Lol, its a true hidden gem like the Terra and Traveler. I was close to buying one in colorado but I decided to skip that purchase.I had to look up what that is.
Probably not until the 2 reveal models are out and are in perfect working condition. The Scout Traveler is for my husband. So far, I’m holding out for the r3. However, I’d love to go all in with the Scout brand. Something smaller with a removable top, or a hard top convertible. Sooner rather than later. Yes, please.
