Did anyone else see them embarrassing them selfs basically saying that Scout is a new Company and that they copied Rivian. It’s very amusing watching people who have zero clue about the History and story behind the OG Scouts and New Scouts. They also tried to explain the EREV system super hilarious to watch. Also MKBHD should take a break for everything after he was going 97MHP in a children at play zone. So this will have Zero effect on Scout since the boycott that is happening on all his channels.

This is no different than any other talking head. Just because someone sits in front of a microphone doesn't mean they are best suited to discuss every subject. In this case, it's only because of the tech. If Scout came back fully ICE they wouldn't be discussing it.

In terms of the "boycott," it's silly. What he did was extremely dangerous, full stop. And I'm fine with the heat he's getting for it but to calibrate things, his last scandal was overcharging for a wallpaper app. Not exactly the resume of a deviant mastermind. There are dozens of YouTube personalities doing objectively worse things often, so folks screaming boycott should keep that same energy. Ultimately the guy gets millions of views for generally inoffensive, light, and "pretty" videos. That's not going away.

Some of these tech reviewers definitely get way too far up their own backsides. They do not represent normal people and rarely address things average users care about. Makes me want to start a podcast but I’d be worried I’d turn into one of them.

In my mind almost all YouTube reviewers have lost all credibility, and too many are just click bate. Almost all the channels that focus on anything EV related are just platforms to EV-haters or EV-lovers, each of which leads to bad, overhyped information that leans way too far to one extreme or the other.

i like watching MKBHD's YT channel but that podcast is unwatchable. those guys are so uninformed or ill-informed and constantly going off on side topics. total discussion on Scout of the 13 min video was probably 3-4 min.
