I would love this to be an option or a turbo v6. It would also future proof Scout just in case the whole EV thing doesn't pan out. Incentives are going away, states looking at ways to draw more revenue from ev's for lack of road taxes from gas etc. Resale values are horrible compared to ice too, battery loss in cold climates, lots of challenges over the next few years before they arrive. We shall see

I hear rumors about a potential future V8 Two doors Scout with hard top and removable doors ! 🤩🤩🤩
Someone has infos about that ?
PLEASE PLEASE SCOUT MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!! 🙏🏼
I wondered about this in another forum a while ago. With the current administration's focus on drilling and fracking and gutting EPA standards, now's the time for manufacturers to switch back to gas guzzlers. Seems most Americans favour large bore gas or diesel engines based on news reports (who knows how accurate those are though).

How about a turbo diesel instead of just a V8... Oh, wait - I have 3 of those already (truck, SUV, and car).

Scout please reconsider making an regular engine. The EV markets bubble is bursting. Ev only make up a small number onf sales. With other manufactures, making EV and gas engines, and some already going away from ev, this new company needs to offer more. Ya'll have absolutely nailed the look and design of both the travler and terra.

Fate of Rivian’s $6.6 billion federal loan—secured in the dying hours of the Biden administration—now hangs in the balance

https://fortune.com/2025/02/19/rivi...mp-administration-georgia-factory-brian-kemp/

-Rivian reported a loss of 39k per vehicle in the 3rd quarter.
-1.1 billion in the red at the end of the year.
-Need the loan for new factory for R2 and R3.

But that 39K is down from 67K from a year. With the R2 and R3 being more affordable prices then they should be able to turn more of a profit. To put into prospective, Tesla didnt have a profitable year until 2020 which was when Model Y was out and Model 3 was out 3 years prior.

Rivian has only been producing vehicles for 4 years. It took Tesla close to 8 years to turn a year profit. I really dont think Rivian has anything to be worried about.

If we want to stop giving loans out to Auto Makers make it for all AutoMakers too. How about GM getting 10 Billion dollars in 2023? Which a large amount were Grant Money. Not Loans Grants. At least with the Loans they will have to repay.

Or in 2022 they received a loan from U.S. Department of Energy for a $2.5 billion loan to Ultium Cells, a joint venture between LG.

The EV markets bubble is bursting. Ev only make up a small number on a sales.
I wouldn't say 1.3 million electric vehicles sales, "bursting" considering as EV sales spiked 15.2% year-over-year in the fourth quarter.

EV Sales in 2024 accounted for 8.1% of total automotive sales, Cox Automotive reported

https://www.automotivedive.com/news/electric-vehicle-sales-us-2024-increase-cox-automotive/737528/#:~:text=Cox Automotive said EV sales, automotive sales, Cox Automotive reported.

Also, I'm not trying to attack anyone on this, I am just trying to put some perspective into it.

Why would anyone even attempt this. Its archaic thinking. Let it go.
Because the majority of Americans are Trump supporters and when he tells them not to buy EVs because he’ll be removing charging stations, they’ll listen. He doesn’t like EVs, ergo MAGA’s won’t either.
