Encouraging to see overt specs w/out spare tire carrier, but would also like to know alternatives to carry spare underneath and/or inside.

Also good to know I can avoid a few things I don't need/want -

• off-road suspension option
• able to specify 35-inch tires for maximum off-road capability
• off-road enhancements like sturdy recovery points, heavy-duty winches, and off-road bumpers

I suppose I might be a better fit for a Rivian but favor Scout for retro-modern design and physical switchgear. I adore my XC90 but have given up on Volvo.

the harvester location is both good and potentially bad news. Seems it may be hard to service if placed under the bed as shown. Wonder what access will be like.

If all I fails old school cut a hole in the bed and hinge it with a door which is what they should do from the factory hey just a country two cents

Hi everyone. First-time poster and recent reservation holder. Does anyone else feel disheartened by this announcement that battery range is 150 miles and gas range extender perhaps 350 miles? Isn’t this completely contrary to what was originally announced? This essentially makes the Scouts with ‘range extender’ a gas powered PHEV with an added 150 mile of pure battery power - am I understanding that correctly?

Nope. Because the harvester isnt connected to the powertrain. Its a generator for the battery and electric drive axles.

It's a trade off. You can either have 350mi all around for long trips and around town or you can have 150mi for around town and 150 Electric + 350 Gas for long trips. I'm mostly going to be using this to and from work 38mi round trip so most of the time I'd be full electric. On the occasional long trip I'd be using 150mi of electric then gas for the rest of the trip unless we stop somewhere I could charge.

I also don't know that I'd often be going 500 total miles w/out a stop. so even if I'm doing straight 150 miles EV, maybe harvesting another 50 - 150 mile, I'll need to stop somewhere if just for a rest stop/snack/stretch. for me that's where route planning comes in (whether I'm doing it or the computer).

I've owned more than a few vehicles in my life. I got to the point I could pull a VW engine in about 15 minutes. I had a Ford F150 with a problematic fuel filter. Talked with fleet managers - fastest way to change the fuel filter was to pull the bed off the truck. They felt that was faster than draining and dropping the gas tank to get to it. I currently have some heavy equipment in the shop - no doubt they will be pulling the whole cab off to get to the problem (which is so common, it might be as little as 4 bolts and disconnecting the wiring harness - which is kind of funny, as the wiring harness is the problem). Hopefully maintenance on the harvester will have an easy work around. But generally people find a way.

I agree 100%, I was an early order R1T for 73k great truck! For 95k NO WAY! That’s why they are burning through millions and need partners to stay alive.

Think the most we’ll see is probably 80-85k for top spec plus extras.
