Well it's not like they don't have time to develop and offer multiple options.

Remember going to car wash with your dad watching as your station wagon went through the line as you watch through the windows ?? This is a long car wash wait till our new shiny Scouts come out the other end.

We had a galaxy 500 and a mercury' colony park with wood side doors rear back seat that we would wave at people behind us which god forbid we were rear ended. We've come along way and some of us get to see the good and the bad but boy I wish I could go back to the day of the handshake.

Five-gallon gas can is an interesting addition considering the theories of how the Harvester will work.
Exactly my first thought! I'm a little more optimistic that this may allow you to fill up some gas on a depleted battery to get more range. Maybe even at 0%, the battery will hold enough juice to allow you to add gas to get to the nearest charging station.

I was kind of looking at the projected numbers for the Harvester. 150 miles on EV and another 350 on the ICE, no one has mentioned the size of the gas tank yet but if we assume 10 gal then 350 miles would be 35 miles per gal, not great. With a 5 gal tank then 70 MPG, better. Having a spare 5 gallon can now makes sense.

10 gallon tank with the extra five to top the tank off to make it back from the trails.

Solar would be enough for camp lights for sure, but wouldn't come close to adding much to the EV battery. I have 6.5 KW of solar on my house, and it will charge my 28KW storage batteries from 10%>100% in about 6 hours or so depending on time of year and how much I am drawing, and half the roof is covered with panels. The Scout's roof is just too small to accommodate much in the way of panels.

Adding the satellite to the scout models is actually really good because it gives it a leverage over Rivian, which doesn’t even have that as an option. It would be very interesting to see which company Scout signs an agreement with as we all know Starlink is one of the biggest satellite companies out there, and I wouldn’t doubt that they had signed with them or a new company. That’s just starting out.

Reading this article from Edmonds and one thing that struck me as odd is this paragraph.

"Keogh declined to say which of the few but growing number of satellite internet providers the company will partner with to provide this service, but it seems safe to assume that it probably won't be Elon Musk's Starlink."

Why wouldn't Scout Motors consider using Starlink? Does VW Group not like Starlink? I'm extremely confused by this comment. Like Starlink has more coverage than any other provider and is lunching more all the time.
