Here’s a small guess I’m willing to make. Some where in the posts of the roof rack there's connection/ports for the satellite receiver and light bar. Which is probably why Scout's press release said that all Scouts from Factory will have the wiring necessary for the satellite.

This looks great and makes for a great solution, however, I really don't like that the satellite antenna/equipment is built into the roof rack. That means if you want this satellite, you HAVE to go with THEIR roof rack as opposed to other 3rd party roof racks options. A Starlink Mini might be a better, more flexible option.

Vertical Integration is what makes companies successful. And making accessories is apart of it.

But they are working with aftermarket brands. For other options of accessories.

That is going to be base price with none of the goodies they are showing. And if they follow Ford’s model that Base price will be for a limited number of vehicles and then it will disappear. If Scout is losing money on that promised base price they will not keep it around long - only a lucky few will get it.
I am not trying to knock Scout. I have my reservation in just like everyone else here but the trim level prices will escalate rapidly. be prepared for 65K+ for a nicely equipped Scout.

Not sure I understand how one company could sell a car much cheaper than anyone unless you open the tap and the vehicle flows out.

Big fan of roof racks but not this one.

It looks too much like a halo or a Go-Go-Gadget helicopter about to take off.

The satellite will almost certainly be an up-priced Starlink mini, which I plan buying direct before 2026 anyway.

Y’all can continue to say what ever about the pricing that i was told isn’t changing. But the material market by the time these are in production will be cheaper than ever before, and EV tax credits have been around since 2008, Trump could have ended it his first term but he didn’t and i highly doubt he will this time around.

Hopefully they will handle this better than the Ford Lightning. When they finally called my reservation number you could not order the pro, or the XLT. It started at the platinum edition which was over $75k. A long long ways from the $29,900 they were promoting initially.

This is most likely the satellite company scout is working with. VW has relationships with them, which would make it easy for Scout to gain s relationship with them since the has a common investor.

My guess is that Scout will work out a price package with them or whoever it may be.

One year of college tuition plus we all have time to save for our rides. My question to Scout MGMT. Is can I drive my trade in to SC and drive home with my New Scout ?? Or are we following a Carvana model ??
