Ok well I have an 1978SSII by Anything Scout, they did a great job...that said,I also have a 2024 Porsche Cayenne, and the ability to option this truck was enormous,I hope this is the same with the Scout,if you dont want to take the options then dont,at least you have the opportunity....Ok heat cooled and massage seats, although cooled/vented is never that good...heads up display..camera in the rearview....auto lights/brights.....adaptive cruise.....leather seats...no skimming on the seats themselves,I think we all will be driving this on long trips...and others.

So, a 4-spd manual and manual glow plug like my 1980 would not be an appropriate interior comfort request? 😉

A bunch
I'm apparently all alone in the, give me the most basic truck you possibly can.

I don't need carpet, leather, heated anything, or even power windows or locks.

I need the most capable, basic, cheapest truck I can get.

People beg for these things to be stuffed with unicorn leather and zebra hide, then wonder why prices have spiraled out of control .

If ya dont want the option then dont take them, the idea is its good to have options like investing in the market, many investment opportunities.

You're not alone... I too am looking for functionality over almost everything else.

A few things I can think of if they haven't been mentioned already for the Traveler;

Top of the line sound system 12 speakers +

360° camera standard on all trims

Deep comfortable seats with under leg support (make them deep), with heated and cooled options for both rows

Definitely make the bench seat available for all trim levels

Head rests that tilt back and forth

Really high end driver assistant, like; lane keep assist and apdaptive cruise control with stop and go, etc. (MY Honda Prologue drivers assistance sucks).

Adjustable interior mood lighting with multi color options

One touch buttons for all windows.

Rhino liner interior option with equivalent protection levels for the seats, dash, headliner, etc...

Also if the wheels could retract and it turn into a submarine. And an afterburner. Definitely.

Based on some of these responses I think we need a "Functional Utility" trim level for those of us who desire usefulness, and a "Bougie" trim level for comfort and luxury that can give you a facial, make you a crepe, and offers 70 variations of aroma therapy. And a cold plunge tank in the back.

I'm serious about the rhino liner though...

I think some need to go to Bentley dealership they have what you crave. I want a well built thought out reliable with current safety features. Air suspension, and auto start / climate control. And we should be appreciative to the engineers who bring this advanced vehicle to life for the price point they are pitching. But I feel like I'm shopping in a toy store with my 6 yr old grandson. Aren't we building an off-road / slash family SUV ??? Range Rover already has the offerings you crave but at a very much higher price point and reliability isn't Pinnicale I know I owned a few.
