Scout Motors if you're reading this, please give us a Heat Pump in the production model. So helpful in warming the battery and also allows pre-conditioning. 👍 Obviously this results in better range and efficiency (FYI for those who are new to EV's).

Yes, I'd personally be disappointed if they don't include a heat pump. Resistive heat (only) is so inefficient.

Maybe as an option ?

I would rather have ventilated seats instead due to warm year around weather I live.

Never use the cabin heating nor preconditioning here so including the heat pump is a waste for me.

Heat pumps alone have come to the point that manufacturer cost is very close to air conditioning only. The added expense and complexity is when you start adding extra heat exchangers into the battery. I hope they offer at least a simple air to air heat pump.

While I'd like heat harvesting to the engine, this probably adds another layer of expense and complexity that doesn't align with their effort to keep the Scouts as cheap and efficient to produce as possible so they can sell them at the best price.

It sounds like Tesla thinks they solved some of these issues with the Octovalve, but that's a unique piece of engineering I'm sure Scout doesn't want to mess with to hit their timeline and cost targets with minimal risk.
