This thing looks so awesome but based on these numbers it is a full 18" wider than my Gladiator Mojave! The gladiator isn't huge but it isn't little either.

Note: Something to keep in mind -- Scout reps said that the vehicles shown at the reveal at 85% reality and 15% fantasy. So it's possible that dimensions and size are still subject to change for the production 2027 Scout Traveler SUV and Terrain Pickup Truck.

Scout Traveler SUV
- 207.9 inch length (with rear mounted spare tire / carrier)
- 91.6 inch width (with mirrors)
- 79.9 inch width (without mirrors)
- 120.4 inch wheelbase

Traveler Dimensions 1.jpg

Rivian R1S
- 201 inch length
- 87.1 inch width (with mirrors)
- 81.8 inch width (without mirrors)
- 121.1 inch wheelbase

GMC EV SUV
- 206.7 inch length
- 86.46 inch width
- 126.69 inch wheelbase

Land Rover Defender 130
- 211.7 inch length
- 79.1 inch width
- 119 inch wheelbase

Kia EV9
- 197.2 inch length
- 77.9 inch width
- 122 inch wheelbase

Bronco 4-Door
- 189.4 inch length (with rear mounted spare tire / carrier)
- 86.2 inch width (with mirrors)
- 75.9 inch width (without mirrors
- 116.1 inch wheelbase

Bronco Raptor 4-Door
- 191 inch length
- 86.9 inch width
- 116.5 inch wheelbase

Jeep Wrangler 4-Door
- 188.4 inch length
- 73.8 inch width
- 118.4 inch wheelbase

Toyota 4Runner (New 2025)
- 194.9 inch length
- 77.8 inch width
- 112.2 inch wheelbase
So please clarify with me. I have an R1S. The scout is a little narrower than the R1S without the mirrors on both, while the R1S is possibly shorter than the Scout SUV if there is no spare on the back… Sounds silly but I would remove the spare tire for better usability in the garage (eg. opening the hatch in the garage while closed would be impossible with that wide swing), and add it when I go off-road. That full spare and carrier could easily be a foot wide, making the Scout shorter if removed. I currently go without a full spare on the R1S anyways and frequently use a bike rack.

Also if the Scout body is slightly narrower than the R1S then it’s also slightly better in the garage and off road. The mirrors I can fold as needed. Just trying to justify the upgrade from a size perspective.

@Mdietrich74 The Traveler SUV and Terra Pickup are both 79.9 inches wide without mirror compared to Gladiator's 73.8 inches wide without mirror. That's 6.1 inches wider.

Makes sense to me! @Scout Fan posted this in the other thread showing the hinge pin that can be removed to release the spare tire carrier.

Is that R1S without mirrors number accurate? That would make it wider than an F150, which it clearly is not.

Wow! That would be so awesome if it’s quick release option. I hope that makes production. Don’t want to deal with the spare tire on the daily.

That really could be true. The Rivian is wider at the lower half and more narrow at the top half/green house. More noticeable on the R1T truck. So it’s bigger than it looks on the street.

Wow, my Ranger barely fits in the garage (with my wife's car) as it is at 73.3", and the Scout will be 6.5" wider.

There’s a thread discussing that the spare tire carrier will be optional and posts the following dimensions. I think they’d be useful additions to the first post.

Length With Spare Wheel Carrier: 207.9 in
Length Without Spare Wheel Carrier: 190.9 in

According to the diagram, the endpoint for the length, at 207.9" is at the rear bumper and doesn't include the spare tire. If you follow the end line down, it slices through the tire and meets the end of the rear bumper. With the above reply from bilash31, I guess their diagram is inaccurate. I'm glad, because I don't want anything as big as an R1S or EV9.
