Cold weather battery life

I have owned multiple Teslas and one of the reasons I got rid of them is the power depletion caused by cold weather. I would love to see a “freezing temperature “ mode that would auto start the generator if the battery drops below xx% while I was snowboarding.

I'm curious about something similar. I have a Jeep Cherokee 4xe and am seriously tired about how often the Jeep goes into Fuel & Oil refresh mode. I was thinking about it today as the temps went below 0, and if the Scout would end up doing something similar with the 4 cylinder engine. I realize the set up is different with batteries running the motors compared to the 4xe, but i'm still curious.

‘precondition (as in warm up) the battery and charge to X level to prepare to leave in 20 minutes or at a certain time. ‘ Mode.

As well as “WARM UP THE CABIN OR COOL DOWN THE CABIN TO X TEMPERATURE”

We do this cabin warming and cooling now with our Audi PHEV.

Of course, my wife does it by calling me anywhere in the world and asking me to do it rather than downloading the app and doing it on her own phone.

She admits she is a bit of a Luddite.

She has literally called me in Germany while she sits in Ohio to do this!

This is what will hold me back from a purchase. We just hit -30 below this week. Would need a reliable vehicle in this weather.

hopefully they will test the battery in colder regions of the country.
