I feel like those T-tracks will always be filled with dirt, sand, dog hair, mulch and whatever else your travels send back with you. Not ideal if that's really what they are IMO.

Agreed but they're so useful. Maybe the Traveler will come with a factory cargo mat that covers entire cargo floor so you can just remove it when you need access to the T-Tracks. And if not, the aftermarket will definitely offer options.

I'm curious if the tire carrier locks open so you can leave the tailgate down to haul longer items? 🤔

Is this really a ”split tailgate”? The upper part is essentially the entire tailgate, and the bottom is just a fold out seat?
