  1. Harvester EREV analysis & predictions: 3 cylinder gasoline engine, HP output, EV battery pack size, fuel tank location, approach departure angle

150 miles of EV range comes from Scout. Jamie@Scoutmotors has posted it on their forums. That doesn't mean it's written in stone. Those are just their projections right now. There's an awful lot of engineering that has to occur.
  2. Suggestion: Generator Mode to allow Harvester engine to keep running while Scout is idling

Harvester is already a generator, but it operates differently than the Ford. Yes, your Scout could send power to your house or power your equipment. The Scout will be bi-directional. The electricity will come from the Scout battery. Setting up a special generator mode that locks the cabin...
  3. Exterior Colors for 2027 Scout Traveler and Terra?

This is on the Scout website. They seem to be listening to customer feedback, so there's plenty of time for additions/subtractions. Keep voicing your opinions (apologies for poor quality)!
  4. Scout Dealers

I was referring to the mobile service trucks for areas that don't have nearby service centers. They could be based/affiliated with VW/Audi dealers. They will have to operate out of somewhere.
  5. Scout Dealers

Navistar/International is also owned by VW, but using VW or Audi dealers for the Scout mobile service needs seems more likely.
  6. Edmunds Article: Why the Scout Terra and Traveler Might Be Better Than the Rivian R1S and R1T Off-Road

Edmunds makes it sound like the Harvester has the same battery as the EV. This contradicts info from Scout that mentions a smaller battery with an EV range of around 150 miles with the remaining 350 miles provided by generator-supplied electricity. Jamie@Scoutmotors answers some questions on...
  7. Electric Solid Rear Axle = “EBeam Rear Axle” — Underbody Photos & Analysis

I read a comment from Jamie@Scoutmotors—don't take everything you see there as gospel. The final product won't be identical. https://scoutmotors.community.forum/threads/interesting-article-about-the-engineering-underneath-the-new-scouts.981/#post-9912 I would only caution not to infer too much...
  8. Pricing difference between EV+Gas (Harvester) vs. Full-EV model?

Jamie@Scoutmotors has said the Harvester I will have an EV-only range of about 150 mi and the rest will come from electricity from the gas generator. That means a smaller battery. That's how the Ramcharger works. It has a smaller battery pack and the gas engine only generates electricity. There...
  9. Pricing difference between EV+Gas (Harvester) vs. Full-EV model?

You have it backwards. Scout is claiming an EV range of around 150 mi, and the rest would come from the extender. The battery in the Harvester will be smaller.
  10. Pricing difference between EV+Gas (Harvester) vs. Full-EV model?

It's too early to say. It seems like the harvester take rate is high for the pre-orders. They may use that as an opportunity to raise prices to maximize profit. The information I've seen says the Ram range extender version is about $2,000 more than their pure EV. But the Pentastar V6 they use...
