It’s great to see these behind the scenes of how they designed the model. Very excited for the future of Scout. Hope to see more of these.

How can this be anything but a success with this much passion behind it?
That’s what Im saying, they have a really passionate team around the Company. The CEO is great, design team is great, etc.

only people we need to be passionate about their work too is the quality control team we don’t want half a$$ed Scout‘s coming off the line.

The only thing I'm concerned about (and this isn't Scout, this is how I feel about any new company or product) is how well they are at working out the bugs before these get delivered.

I'm currently in a Jeep 4xe that has battery recalls and my check engine light just seems to come on and off (due to stupid things like a faulty gas cap, and then the collar to the gas fill hose). I love the vehicle but it tarnishes the experience.

I have high hopes due to them only having two models to start and really focus on.

(BTW, watching that video...it looks so good all whited out like that!)

I feel you there. I love my CT. Waited 4 years, 5 months, 14 days and 14 hrs to get it lol. Lots of little issues. detracts from ownership a bit. I would guess, if I may, that a lot of these things coming from Rivian, old scout knowledge and other proven tech going into them there is a LOT less bugs than normal. Lets hope.

I think they have the resources to fully work out the issues unlike Jeep. Jeep or should I say Stellantis, are not really good at figuring out what’s wrong with electric cars or hybrid cars. They consistently have issues time and time again which is quite disappointing. I would have considered a Jeep if it wasn’t for the reliability and the countless issues I hear from owners.

however, fully agreeing with you, as many issues as my wife and I have with our 3 Jeeps, we LOVE them never the less. I am looking forward to that love relationship with my Scout. I thought I would have it with the CT and as of yet I do not. It is great, but somehow just does not fit me 100%

That’s good to hear you love your Jeep. I really do hope Scout can work on everything before launch and even if something happens after launch they can get it down packed.

If nobody can afford it? That’s the only possible problem, well and maybe VW financial problems.

Engineering Models are usually used to find those problems. Idk if jeep does that because I've never seen a single picture of a Engineering model of a jeep.

What do you mean? If they don't hold to the $60K committment or that even $60K is too much?

The Economy snd Car market is gonna change a-lot by the time it’s purchase time. So it might be more affordable than we think.

but for VW financial issues thats most likely a issue that their in car tech is 5-10years behind and nobody want a car thats infotainment is slow and laggy.

They’ve also had years of actual in-use customer vehicles to figure it out and yet they put out “patch” after “patch” for seemingly similar issues often across models. Many are nuisances but it does detract from the ownership experience. The other issue is that the knowledge at the service departments near us is limited to a few people even years later.

See I buy a car to use it not to be a customer engineer looking for issues. Thats what the R&D center is supposed to find prior to release.
