Scout Motors, you have brought us an amazing, nearly-perfect production-intent concept that has us enthusiasts buzzing and eagerly anticipating 2027! I reserved a Traveler Electric during the launch event and have been obsessing over all the YouTube videos and forum posts. I haven't been this excited for a new vehicle in I don't know how long. If the price doesn't climb into the Rivian R1 range and stays competitive with the upcoming R2, this may be the perfect vehicle we've been waiting for.

That said, I have a few suggestions I recommend that would make both the Traveler and the Terra even more perfect. Here's my list in order of importance:

1. Optional panoramic, opening sunroof (glass section over driver) with shade, like what GM or Kia/Hyundai offer. I love the Cabana top as an option at least, however I won't be able to open it as often during the summer in Phoenix.

2. Lane-Change Assist camera video embedded in driver gauge cluster screen, like Kia/Hyundai/Genesis.

3. Cooled seats (not just heated).

4. Rear seat cup holders. Love the Kia EV6 sliding compartment option!

5. Roof Rails with swing-out cross-bars like the Subaru Outback.

The absence of any or all of these items won't be deal-breakers, but they would greatly enhance your amazing products, making them more appealing to an even wider range of consumers.

Tesla FSD subscription ability

My biggest complaint about the Rivian R1S in the stable. Lightyears behind Tesla

Understand this is not a Scout owned only decision but if we are wishing!!!

A diesel engine would be my first choice

Solid front axle

4 link system in the front and 3 link in the rear

Now that my first wants, and never will happen, are out of the way. At least make the strapped on generator a diesel. Front and rear lockers are a must. Bench seat available in all models. Rubber or vinyl flooring option. Cooled and heated seats front and back. I’m not a fan of all the driver safety sensors everywhere, lane change-collision-etc. If you must install the safety sensors make it available to turn off the whole system, I don’t want my vehicle slamming on my brakes because it “thinks” we are going to wreck. If it has to be EV, sigh, can it at least be crazy fast like 1 second 0-60 fast? How about a quick charge that only takes 5 minutes? I really am not on board with this EV thing as you can tell. A diesel option would be so much better.

Lane change assist will be there, it came to all Rivian vehicles in a software update. If they could make it work on a platform designed almost 10 years ago (Gen 1 Rivians) then I can't see why it'd be absent from a vehicle that goes into production 2 years from now. Gen 2 Rivians are supposedly way more profitable and I noticed the same zonal architecture mentioned at the Scout presentation.

If they need to segment some of this off that's fine too the $60K version doesn't get X or Y but its available on the other trims. Makes more sense than not offering it at all.
