Refrigerated cool box under center console armrest

Anyone catch this? I wonder if it will be a legit cooler or something gimmicky.

My GF spotted that right away. I think it’s a great idea. I know some other trucks have them as well. Being able to keep a drink in there nice and cold while you’re driving it would be really handy.

I keep a 12 V fridge in my gladiator, and obviously it’s completely different, but it sure is nice having a powered refrigerator in your vehicle at all times

Yeah, I'm hoping it's a decent setup, even if it only holds a couple of drinks. I had a Dodge Caliber years ago that advertised a cooling place above the glove compartment but it was only cooled by a diversion of AC air over the slot. worthless if you weren't using AC at the time.

I am sure it is the same tech as in the 12v cooler we carry, a thermocouple built into an insulated box with a small fan to circulate the air. Mine keeps drinks at 36º to 38º, while drawing only 4 amps.
