Interesting enough - I'm just more interested in vehicles that are at least assembled in the US or paying US-based workers to manufacture...

If KIA offers a plug-in SUV that's off-road capable, I will consider it. Same for a plug-in 4Runner or Bronco.

I like the Scout, but whoever gets the right vehicle (plug-in EV with all-electric range of at least 40 and off-road chops) to the market first likely will get my business.

It will be years before the charging infrastructure or battery technology is good enough to support pure EVs for those of us who go off-road in remote places. Think of driving from Moab down to the Needles District in Canyonlands, then starting the trails out of Elephant Hill. For folks like, me plug-in is the way to go.
