Car and Driver has released pic’s/initial details of the Jeep Recon EV which are now available on the Jeep website:

My initial impression reinforces my decision to reserve a Scout Traveler.
The Travelers sculpted front fenders/tailgate design/rear quarter panels all seem more aesthetically pleasing than the Recon yet capture a sense of the Gen 1 Scout styling.
The Scouts simple/clean grill/front end also look better to me (wasn’t sure at first but I am now). The Recon does have Jeeps traditional removable doors as a plus.
Finally the beam axels (vs. independent suspension) still seem like the best choice for my intended uses of the Traveler. Guess there will plenty of time for debate/comparison but as a Jeep owner, I will be sitting tight on my Traveler reservation.
