2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited MOAB edition - 4 door
Hello-
I never post anywhere, but thanks for the invite to join the group. I put my reservation in on day one. My husband says I’m like Goldilocks when it comes to replacing my current dd. I have honestly lost count of how many cars I have test driven in the last year or so.

My past history with cars, I was always a BMW girl until my husband bought a Wrangler and I slowly started taking it over and once we moved from California to Illinois the Wrangler was mine. She is a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited MOAB edition with a MOPAR lifetime warranty so she will last until the Scout gets here for sure.

I kept telling my husband I wanted an electric car but not have range anxiety, with the ability to have at least 33 inch off road tires, a tire on the back and a panoramic glass or open roof. I pretty much gave up and had decided to go for a 6th gen 4Runner. I was on a walk with my son watching the reveal on my phone and came home immediately and put in my reservation for the Traveler with the Harvester. I can’t wait.

We live about 15 minutes from the Rivian plant in Normal Illinois and we saw those cars on the road before anyone and saw the evolution. Rivian is expanding like crazy out here so it gives me great hope for Scout.

I can’t wait! Counting down the days. Literally. Today is 759 days to 1-1-27. Ha!

Hi All,

I put my reservation in last night! I really hope this comes to market. I have a 2013 F150 that I am looking to replace and nothing currently out fits my needs.

Looking forward to the development journey.

Just put in a reservation. First saw a video on youtube a few weeks back from the unveiling and haven't stopped thinking how good the new Scout's look. I'm not an EV guy but love the power capability and the expected range with the gas generator. Hope they come out with a cool blue color!

Hi all,

My love for these rugged vehicles started young – my dad bought a new 1971 red Scout 800 with a white hardtop when I was 2 years old before trading up to a harvest green 1974 Scout II with a 304 V8 a couple of years later. This vehicle was the family around town car for almost my entire childhood. That Scout II then became my first car, a gift from my dad when I turned 15. I repaired the rusty body (if you know, you know), rebuilt the engine (started with a head gasket replacement, then lead to new rings, lifters, camshaft bearings, etc), replaced the clutch, and painted the body black (I cringe at this now). I drove it with all the care of a teenager around our farm and on every unforgiving dirt road in rural southern central Missouri I could get to, and it never let me down. I kept it with me through my early college years, but like many I had to part with my Scout eventually, and I’ve missed it ever since.

Fast forward to today, I reserved a Scout Traveller with the Harvester range extender as soon as I finished the YouTube reveal video, and I’m thrilled about the electric power and modern amenities paired with the classic Scout styling and off-road capability revealed at the press event. For me, like many of you, this is more than a vehicle – it’s a chance to reconnect with a huge part of my past. As well participate in the development of what looks like a great vehicle that checks many boxes for me.

I’m excited to hear about everyone else's Scout memories and looking forward to sharing inputs on the development of this resurrection of an iconic brand.

Happy to be part of the community!
