I hoPe your and your brothers car turns out to be fine. Please understand when I low quality Im not talking about engines and tramsmissions. Im talking about stupid annoying elextronics that send you back to the dealer. Time is money.Trust me, I'm a proponent of buying USA made products, especially automobiles. Of the six (6) road vehicles I own five (5) were built in US factories and just one in Germany. Those manufacturers range from BMW, to Honda, to Ford. I'd never buy a Chinese vehicle mainly for human rights issues and the Government system China exists under.
That said, I bought my 2022 Bronco full well knowing the transmission is sourced from China via a joint venture with Getrag. I did my best to assure myself the factory does not use forced labor.
But, my brother bought a 2025 Nautilus in late 2024. I've seen it once, about a week after he took delivery. I have to say the build quality seemed on par with US and European standards. If one didn't know it was built in China, he could not tell it wasn't built in the US or Europe. Now, the Nautilus' fitness for long-term use and durability I think is still yet to be determined. In the 7 months my brother has had the Nautilus, he's not mentioned any issues with it.
Meanwhile, my Bronco's transmission is starting to make noises from the 5th and 6th gear syncros, which Ford has issued a TSB about.
