Fuel pump diy no dealerships

With no dealership and 80% diy being advertised. I'm hoping for a trap door above the fuel pump. One small electric fuel pump which fails at 200k miles usually forces a mechanic trip. Dropping the tank is cumbersome and the tank strap bolt tends to rust overtime.

A trap door above the tank would be awesome now because there is no dealerships scamming us for repairs.
