Coming from a Raptor, I can say that the Rivian electronics (including use of cameras, ACC, rain sensing wipers) make the Ford look like a dinosaur. I wouldnt think about that for more than half a second. There is no comparison.
Tailgate step I do miss that, but the R1T has a lower tailgate so...
I have been thinking the same. Have you seen any interior dimensions? My only real regret with my R1T (coming from a raptor) is the interior shoulder width.
there will be a lot of used R1Ts available by then. But and it’s a big but, as an owner of one, I wouldn’t ever own one of these out of warranty. They are very complex vehicles with a limited service center network. While right now everything is within warranty, if I was out of warranty I would...
solidly checked and the width for Rivian is incorrect. It’s 79.3 without mirrors. The number stated previously was with mirrors folded. I small point but important for some.
The VW EA211 1.5 3cyl would make sense. Can create 95KW idling, without turbo. Well proven in Europe. 50mpg roughly in a small car would mean 10g fuel tank roughly. Starting to make sense . . .
I think youre right and I dont like it. I have a 2020 Mini EV with about 100 mile range and in the winter, that is plugged in every single day or its unusable. Remember you arent going to let the battery get below 15% and not going to charge it over 85% every day, so that actually gives you 70%...
If it really is 150 battery range then they wont qualify for ZEV credits. This may be a moving target until they get the sales and margin forecasts in better shape.
I think they are going to have to include some form of self driving. A lot of current EV owners have had this for some time and many will be expecting this for roadtrips etc. Seems like the Traveller would have to have this.
Given that Rivian software seems hinted at, they should at least adopt...
