Factory delivery option will be available ... are you taking trip to Scout plant in SC for it?

Might be a nightmare for us Canadians trying to import it. I can easily see spending a day at the border trying to get it imported with all the certifications, taxes and duties. Too bad though, I’d definitely be up for factory pickup.

Thanks for the reply. Most of my trips will be 150 miles there and back. I don’t put very many miles on a vehicle. Maybe 8000 per year. It’s too early I suppose to make any decisions now but it sounds like the battery-only option might be better for me.

I put a reservation down for the model with the Harvester. Now I'm a bit worried. I thought that the non-hybrid model would get approx 300 miles range on batteries and the Harvester option would just boost that range. Now it seems the hybrid model will have a substantially shorter EV range and...

Autonomous Driving / Self-Driving on 2027 Scout EV?

I'd be happy with just cruise control. FSD on our Tesla is more dangerous than helpful and it gives you strikes when doing simple things like looking down to grab your coffee. It brakes for no reason and will turn on its high beams when other cars are approaching. It's stressful to use. We've...

Harvester EREV analysis & predictions: 3 cylinder gasoline engine, HP output, EV battery pack size, fuel tank location, approach departure angle

So then the Harvester option isn't an option for when you're moving at say highway speed. Unless it can charge the batteries faster than they are being used, it would only be good when stopped or at very low speeds. Do I understand that correctly?

Harvester EREV analysis & predictions: 3 cylinder gasoline engine, HP output, EV battery pack size, fuel tank location, approach departure angle

I’m not familiar with how this hybrid system will work. Is that what happens? You can drive no faster than the generator can charge the battery?

Harvester EREV analysis & predictions: 3 cylinder gasoline engine, HP output, EV battery pack size, fuel tank location, approach departure angle

My understanding is the gas engine will not directly connect to the drivetrain. It's for battery charging only so no impact on performance.
