I agree that they need a removable top if they hope to get most of the Jeep and Bronco customers to consider a Scout. If not, they are competing more with the 4Runner, Defender, and Grand Cherokee buyers. I’m likely not interested if the top isn’t removable.
I have 3 boats all between 23 and 28 feet that with trailer are between 6,500 and 8,000 lbs. but I only tow each of them a couple of times each year. The two in MN stay in the water all summer and the Whaler we have in FL stays in the water year round other than maIntenance. When I’m towing...
For many who own or are considering an BEV, anything over 150 miles in a day is unusual. The farthest we go is the 140 miles to our cabin in Northern MN. We have a Tesla that is almost a decade old that has 150k miles on it and one of the best things about it other than the acceleration is...
It’s hard to predict with delivery 2.5+ years away but likely I’ll just add it to the fleet. I love the acceleration(611 hp) and comfort of my Audi E Tron GT as a daily driver and I can’t imagine letting my Bronco go for the $20k trade in value it will have in 2027. I don’t drive the Bronco a...
It would also allow us to drive it the 1,900 miles down to FL from MN without having to stop and charge like we do each October and May. We are about to make that Journey next week. I’m too impatient to make that trip in a BEV.
It’s anyone’s guess how much the range will be with the gas engine once the battery is dead. We don’t know what size the Harvester battery will be compared to the all electric model. Here’s an article about it where the CEO indicates the gas + version will have a smaller battery...
I have a 2015 Tesla that we bought new and a 2023 Audi E Tron GT, so I went gas+electric for my Scout. I could easily change my mind as we get closer to production and know the specs of the all electric. I’ll always have at least one ICE vehicle for towing.
