I'm summoning the "hive-mind" like Ron Burgundy summoned his news team.

2025 Toyota 4runner Sliders, Rails, Steps - measurements and fitment Burgundy

Does anyone know the distance between the bolt locations on the frame for attaching rock sliders, rails, steps, running boards, etc?
I'm wondering if any of aftermarket 4th gen Taco options will fit on the 6th gen 4Runner. Right now all the of the options for the 4R are limited (and super expensive). The OEM steps/sliders are just plain awful (ok, they're not my taste) and they're terribly overpriced. IMO - the whole new body style with the angles doesn't lend itself to anything "oval" having off the side.

Grateful for any input... Anyone feel like crawling up under their 6th gen to make some measurements or maybe snap some photos?

Cheers!

Morning. I agree, not into the OEM ones. The two Iā€™m going between at the moment are the Westcott Designs rock rails and the CBI ones. Both are right above $1k, but it seems to me thatā€™s the price to pay for a good product Here are some links, take a look and let me know what you end up going with!

Thanks for those links. I had checked them out and I'm not loving the style on them. I was looking for something a bit more "angular" look like the NFAB - EpYx steps that I've got on my TRD Pro. shown here in this link to Real Truck. NFAB - Epyx Link

I'm still hoping maybe the double cab Tacoma options will be the same measurements.
Any help would be appreciated. Looking for the distance between the fenders just inside the fender molding or the distances of the bracket holes.

Thanks!

Ahhh, gotcha. As itā€™s the same platform, I would think they would fit, but I donā€™t know for sure. As for the exact measurements, maybe send a DM to one of the forum members who have already taken delivery of their vehicle and see if they could do a quick measure for you. šŸ¤·šŸ»Good luck man!

So after doing some digging. Iā€™m now wondering if the rails for the Landcruiser / GX are the same. I looked at the CAD models for the NYTOP rock rails. 4Runner and LC look the same, Taco has more brackets. Every dealer has 1953s on the lot. I may go climb under one and get a measurement. Opens the door to more options for sure.

Hello Bill,
Our 4R won't arrive for a few weeks, and we won't need sliders until late summer when we make our annual trip to CO/UT, but I'm wondering if you've chosen/installed sliders yet. I like the apparent quality of the WD product. CBI might be as good. Shipping of either one to MN will surely be expensive. I plan to visit the one local shop that claims to do off-road modifications, but what does anyone in MN know about serious off-road? Driving through mud puddles isn't off-roading!

I ended up going with the cast aluminum TRD boards instead of rock rails. They're bolt on but all one piece.
