You can remote start the 2025 4Runner 6th gen (and Tacoma) by 2 methods -- using the Toyota app and also via the key fob.

The way to auto remote start using key fob is simply:

Press Lock Button Twice + Hold Down the 3rd Press

Nice find Mark! SO much easier than having to use the app.

Remote start (whether via key fob or app) is available on any 2025 4Runner 6th that has Connected Services active.
The remote start with key function on my ‘23 4Runner still worked even after remote services expired. I only lost the ability to remote start via app when the subscription expired.

Just wanted to share a vehicle specific video of this being done on my SR5. It's nice that even the base model can do it. I wish there was a physical button as this sequence seems to be hit or miss especially at further distances. Of course there is always the app as well.

Lock (~1 second) + Lock (~1 second) + Lock (hold until the turn signals start blinking)

Of course it is not recommended to start a vehicle in a garage even with the garage doors open. This is just for demonstration.

You called it a Land Cruiser....twice

(But for real, thanks for the video, super informative)

Land is a word, cruiser is a word, anything which cruises on land is a land cruiser. ;)

What I find annoying is people referring to any brand of SUV as a jeep.
