6th gen SR5 or TRD Sport? Is the Sport worth higher price?

Do you guys think the TRD Sport trim is worth 7K more than the SR5, I don't see any major differences apart from rims, heated seats and bigger gauge clusters.

Is there are any other major changes than that I don’t see?

I was watching the following video on the SR5 and at the 9:15 mark he says it has heated seats. At 13:55 he confirms it has a leather wrapped steering wheel. He also says the SR5 has acoustic glass. Some of these features that it has are *not* correctly shown on the Toyota website.

The TRD Sport gives you turn signal indicators on the side mirrors, a Qi compatible wireless charging pad, five USB ports, two 120V/400W outlets, and as you said the larger driver screen. It's an abysmal deal. It's a $6,480 up-charge for very little.

I’ve been checking the videos out and I think that there was some sort of error at the test drive event. SR5 doesn’t come with Heated Seats. TRD Jon confirmed that on his video.

Ah, that's too bad. Maybe they were Canada vehicles or something.

Yes we are getting the SR5 with heated seats and third row here as standard. I just placed a deposit on one today.

One thing I noticed is the lack of color choice on the SR5 in Canada. If we want any color at all, like the heritage blue, we need to jump up to the sport trim.

Weirdly though I personally like the look of the SR5 better than the sport so I had no issues not upgrading.

Did you check out the Trim Guides? There you will see all the differences.

Honestly from the reviews I’ve seen, the Sport Premium is a nice upgrade. From leather seats to the sound system. It’s definitely a step up in quality, but I just don’t like the rims lol.

SR5 owner here, and you're correct about no heated seats or auto AC. I'd like both, but not for the upgrade charge.

As for USB ports, there are 2 Type Cs next to where the charging pad should be (it's clearly designed to be on) and a 3rd on the passenger side of the screen that you can't really see from the seats.

In the back seat, there are two near the AC vents. I also have a 12V outlet in the cargo area and another up front, I think. I've had it 2 full days but I think there's one up front.

Hey Kreig,

Congrats on getting the SR5! Have you tried out the sound system yet? A big reason for me leaning to the Sport is for the upgraded sound. If the SR5 has decent enough thumpin bass, then I could live with it.

The SR5 has plenty of bass if you need it but it definitely could use some help in the clarity. It’s pretty muddy and falls off hard at higher volumes but it’s better than most stock systems I’ve listened to that are tin cans

SR5 is also completely missing an inverter.

IMO the primary issues with it are:
Single Zone MANUAL AC
No inverter anywhere
Donut half size spare

everything else is more than manageable

Is your steering wheel leather?

I agree with this assessment.
