So basically same as US Scout stores and service locations plans, but fewer of them.

But this part is different "Certified service partners will provide further coverage." I didn't see that mentioned in the U.S. plans but hope Scout utilizes this in the US as well. That could really broaden the reach of service / repair network for Scout owners. 🤞

I am about 450Kms from Vancouver so the odd trip to will not be that bad. lf the certified service partners can fill the gap it will be ok. Only 26 or so months to go. 😜

"To complement this, Scout is planning mobile service units that will carry out repairs for customers within a 300-kilometre radius of the stores. This was stated by Cody Thacker at the recent model unveiling in Nashville. Thacker is Scout's vice president of commercial operations."

I'd be good with mobile service! Hopefully reasonable booking timelines.

I sure hope they can put one in Alberta. A 1000KM drive to Vancouver just for a service is a bit unreasonable. Of note Rivian recently opened a service centre in Calgary.

I'm not presuming that ANY CDN locations will be here at launch but remain hopeful. A lot of logistics are involved and they can't get too far ahead of themselves. We'll just have to stay tuned. Perhaps someone will find permit information that's tied to a service center at some point. IF the first locations here are what they say, I'd presume Alberta is 4th since they do enjoy one of the highest median household incomes in the country and the REX option will surely appeal to buyers in our gas & oil province.

Data suggests that the largest segment of new EV buyers is young, urban professionals living in denser city centres like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Followed by diverse suburban families such as those in Markham, Mississauga and Richmond, BC. Another large demographic is those who I'll call the urban sprawlers who are largely dependent on vehicles and who also have higher numbers near these 3 areas.

Will the same hold true for Scout buyers? Possibly, though it's interesting to see how few reservations are coming from QC given they lead the country with 127k BEV registrations as of 2023.

I would hope with the battery plant in Ontario that Canada will be better served than has been the case with Rivian and in turn, Canadians will show strong support for the Scout product if it proves to be worthy.
