    So much can change on the needs of your family in 3 to 4 years.... I have the R2 reserved just to see if we will want it when it arrives. Thats what I did when I reserved the R1S 3 years before I actually got it. Who knows. and its a $100 refundable deposit.

    I would think they would do what Rivian did. Originally start with the more expensive R1S and R1T and then offer the more affordable R2 and R3.

    I did.. my wife hates it.. but my Rivian R1S will be 6 years old by the time this arrives... so why not... fully refundable. I have a pre-order for the Rivian R2 as well just in case.

    I am only going full EV...for now. I had a Wrangler 4xe. I was hoping for more electric range out of it for my daily commutes. However when I lived in CO, because of the cold weather, the car would stay stuck in FORM mode (Fuel Oil Remix Mode). So engine would keep running and not go into EV...

    I wonder if they will let you change the configuration. I picked EV only but this option depending on how it works, cost, maintenance is intriguing.
