Harvester EREV analysis & predictions: 3 cylinder gasoline engine, HP output, EV battery pack size, fuel tank location, approach departure angle

It disrupts the normal traffic flow at the station. Y'all ain't ever been to a Bucee's apparently. People lined up waiting to fill up next when along comes one of you folks that disrupts the normal flow. I don't see the problem in Scout moving the filler door and the associated line. They...

Harvester EREV analysis & predictions: 3 cylinder gasoline engine, HP output, EV battery pack size, fuel tank location, approach departure angle

Traditionally, American cars have the fuel fill door on the driver's side. Scout is the one to be so proud of building an American vehicle. When owners of foreign built vehicles pull up to the pump near the passenger side, it disrupts the normal flow of traffic. Congrats, you are That Guy.

Range reduction / battery life in cold winter temperatures -- what's your experience EV owners?

Sorry. I'm not using a blanket while driving up north or driving naked down south. At my latitude, the AC doesn't get turned off but for a few weeks of the year.

Harvester EREV analysis & predictions: 3 cylinder gasoline engine, HP output, EV battery pack size, fuel tank location, approach departure angle

Small nitpick, but is anyone else bothered with the fuel door for the Harvester on the passenger fender? I don't want to drag the gas pump hose across the hood and be concerned if I pulled close enough. Also don't want to be That Guy who messes with the flow of the gas station traffic by...

Smallest size wheel that fits is 18" inch. Anyone prefer 17" ?

I would prefer the 17" wheel as there are more tire choice. For those going with the Terra, are you optioning the spare tire carrier in the truck bed? I believe that only a 33" will fit under the truck bed. And for those optioning the Harvester, then the spare might be deleted altogether to...

2-Door Scout EV may be coming to rival Jeep Wrangler / Ford Bronco (covered model spotted in presentation slide)

As the article mentioned, " If that two-door comes with the range-extender option, I’d be tempted to choose it over the Traveler I just preordered. Because a two-door Extended-Range EV with a tailgate, a rear spare tire carrier, a solid axle, and a bench seat is the Grail of Grails. " I don't...

Question about EREV Extended Range EVs on Long Trips (Harvester Gas Engine)

Since we are discussing hypotheticals, if one swaps the coil pack on the generator, then it would in theory charge the battery quicker on less fuel giving an even greater extended range than the OEM 500 miles. I look at it as no different than tuning an ICE for better performance. Someone will...

    2027 Scout Reservation Deposits List - Tracker & Stats 📋 📊

In for a Traveler Harvester. With it's huge size and a rear seat delete, there will be so much room for activities. Might need a trampoline. Who will be the first to swap the generator coil pack to extend their range beyond the 500 miles?

2-door Scout EV also coming? Or only 4-door version?

And it looks like I posted too soon. Went over to Scout Motors forum, and saw the latest comment from their admin:

2-door Scout EV also coming? Or only 4-door version?

Just to be clear, that is from Equus Automotive. Individually hand-built and yes, the obvious inspiration comes from the Scout.

2-door Scout EV also coming? Or only 4-door version?

They haven't definitively decided on SWB/LWB design considerations. Battery size isn't a restriction. Equus offers a 107" and 117" inch wheelbase depending on door count. They are fully electric.

    Range extending battery packs?

Well, the admin over there (actual Scout Motors employee) seemed to like the idea of Scoutposts even if they aren't a dealership. A place to charge up the vehicle, charge up the human with some grub and swag, and swap/charge any backup power packs. Someone proposed the ubiquitous Jerry can...

    Range extending battery packs?

Over on the Scout Motors forums, there was an idea that was proposed that an E-Jerry Can could be an option. With the idea that Scout has "Scout-posts" instead of dealerships, where an owner can swap out their E-Jerry Can for another (like a Blue Rhino propane swap) or charge up their own.
