Having an ON/OFF button is 1 more step I have to do to get moving. No thanks. Get in, step on brake, put in gear and go.
I agree with everything you said. I own a tesla and Its going to be tough to go back to a redundant "button" .
Something else to consider, backing into Tesla Superchargers. I travel with a storage box on my tow hitch on my "Y" and sometimes the cable barely can reach charge port due to the charger being dead center in the parking spot. Not a deal breaker.
Currently own a 2020 Model Y. I love camping with it. Have been limited to improved camping sites only. Time to upgrade. Just reserved a Traveler. When buying an EV you have to buy into the network also. As long as this is able to charge in the Tesla network then I'm sold.
