These are not so much an off-roading directed features, but more a quality of life thing.
For the front bench seat option with the fold down center console, the lid should open to the side in both directions with hinges on both sides. This is a feature that I first discovered on my 2004 Town...
Great breakdown. I just hope they do allow for vehicle stationary/off range extender charging. Meaning if you're gonna be camping or off-roading somewhere remote, but you have plenty of gas with you, you can recharge the battery while parked.
Yeah thats a terrible place for the start button. In any situation where you have to park the vehicle with the wheel not perfectly straight, the button will always be in a different spot.
It's really cool to see the actual underpinnings of these vehicles. Honestly, if I were to design my dream EV truck, at least in terms of platform and components, it would be like this.
It's interesting seeing what the article said that the range extender only gets 100-150mi of full electric...
Personally I'm hoping part of the fantasy is the Rivian-esque minimal interior physical controls. I'd like to see more buttons and switches and less minimalism on the interior.
Yeah the other stuff is cool and all, but honestly I'm not really even an off-road guy, so I could take it or leave it. But any company with a philosophy of being pro right-to-repair is a company I feel obligated to support. Same reason I'm rooting for Aptera.
